Investigators said a couple’s week-long crime spree came to an end after a two-county chase.
Deputies in Clark County said the couple broke into a South Charleston Marathon station on Monday night after stealing a woman’s car and identification in Columbus.
According to deputies, the two led them on a chase in that stolen car. The chase ended when the couple crashed about 20 miles away in West Jefferson.
Sheriff Gene Kelly said, “These individuals both had substances in their blood. We believe they both have addictions. This could have been violent. We believe these arrests will solve other crimes in central Ohio.”
Deputies have not released the couple’s names, but they are considered suspects in several recent crimes.
