We have learned that last night rapper Da Brat was arrested. Reports are that Da Brat got into a physical altercation with a waitress Studio 72 - a club owned by Jermaine Dupri.

Witnesses to the event tell us that the two women argued over how much Da Brat owed on a bar tab. And according to police, the argument ended when Da Brat, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, hit the waitress over the head with a bottle of rum - breaking it.

The woman was rushed to the hospital with cuts on her face and eye. She's in stable condition.

Da Brat was arrested and taken to the DeKalb County jail on the charge of aggravated assault. As of this morning, she's still in jail.
