Nauyokas’ knowledge in this complicated field greatly influenced by government regulations and court precedent, is founded on the study of labor law as an area of focus during his education at the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawai'i at Manoa, from 1986 — 1989. Nauyokas added to his knowledge at the University of Michigan Law School where he completed post-graduate study in labor and employment law. Here he studied such issues as unlawful termination, also called wrongful termination, and the area of mediation. Additional postgraduate study at the Pepperdine University School of Law added to his knowledge. From May 1987 to May 1994, Nauyokas put his knowledge to work as a litigator at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel, one of Honolulu’s most successful law firms.

Since starting his own practice in May 1994, Nauyokas has successfully mediated over 3000 disputes and been selected as an arbitrator in 1300 additional cases. Nauyokas has the highest resolution rate among Hawaii mediators with more than 99.9% of the cases he has mediated being settled in one day or less. To date, all but only four were completely
resolved. Only two cases he mediated were ever tried (one only in part). This istinguished record makes Mr. Nauyokas a leading mediator in Hawaii and Honolulu’s preeminent Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) attorney. His peers and many of Hawaii’s leading companies and labor unions have made him the most requested ADR attorney in the state.
