The Nebraska teacher who fled the country with a student has lost her state teaching license for life.
The Nebraska State Board of Education voted unanimously on Tuesday to permanently revoke Kelsey Peterson’s teaching certificate.
Peterson is serving a six-year prison sentence for fleeing to Mexico from Lexington with a 13-year-old student for the purpose of having sex with him.
