Gas prices around the Miami Valley jumped back to $2 a gallon is some places on Tuesday.

The rise in prices occurred as OPEC cut oil production, and the prices of oil hit $50 a barrel. The on-going conflict in the Middle East is also another factor in the rise of gas prices.

However, gas prices are still better than they were last year at this time when prices were more than $3 a gallon.
