Companies pick up custom brochure design to impress their clients and keep them informed about what the company has to offer. Although brochures perform well in general terms, it quite often fails to meet outright success due to certain factors which don’t work in favor. As brochures are considered great vehicle for dispensing information, companies often prefer to cram too much of detail in a single brochure. A brochure with typically no image and all text turns boring and harder to go through. Block of words clutched together in a brochure design is no good way to attract the readers. So, if your brochure is becoming heavy weighted with just text and little images, start trimming down the content and add graphics to it.

Too many font styles and colors

Too many fonts in a single brochure tend to make it unappealing. The custom brochure design may often contain too many fonts that make the layout apparently cluttered and definitely tough to read. Nobody has the time to figure out what each word on your brochure says and so it is advisable to use a few fonts (usually two or three) that are easily understood.

With subhead, the reader just sees through the key points and begins to show interest if they get a clear overview of the business.

A Missing ‘Call to Action’

If a brochure design doesn’t contain a call to action, it fails to attract the reader. A simple call to action invite positive reaction from the people and help a company reach the ultimate goal. Therefore, a call to action is vital in the layout of a brochure and will surely instigate the readers to take an action.

Bad Brochure Printing Material

A custom brochure design with balanced image, color and text is a refined quality brochure. But quite often such brochures don’t meet the expected success level because their printing quality fails to meet the industry standard and please the recipient. Brochures printed on substandard paper result in no good. Such brochures tend to deteriorate fast and appear cheap. So, never opt for low quality printing material for the brochures because it represents your business. Therefore it can’t be compromised on.
