Moscow is the capital of Russia with beautiful architecture and many extremely unusual and unique sights like no other city in the world. Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd is also known as "The Motherland Calls". It is basically a memorial complex which was built in the memory of the Battle of Stalingrad. This complex is home to the remains of Vasily Chuikov. From this complex you can enjoy the nice view of Volga River.

St Petersburg is the charming city which was built in 1703 by Peter the Great. This city covers 42 islands in the delta of River Neva. You should visit Yusupov Palace which has waxwork exhibition holding the assassinated Rasputin and fine mini-theatre. Other popular places of interests are; the Winter Palace, Hermitage Art Museum and Neoclassical Palace Square. St. Petersburg is considered to be one of the important Russia tourist destinations and is visited by many tourists from all over the globe.

The Trans-Siberian Express is considered to be one of the greatest train trips on planet earth. Many tourists like to take the trip of the real countryside through this train. On the vast rivers of Russia like the Lena, Volga and Ob tourists can enjoy rafting, cruising and kayaking. Kamchatka is the volcanic Far East region and many tourists like to experience climbing on the volcanoes and take a helicopter trip to watch the Valley of the Geysers from the sky. Russian cuisine is basically more in fats and carbohydrates rather than proteins because of the long lasting cold winter there.
