“A House without books is like a room without Windows”

Though the above saying is to signify the importance of having books collection in any house, there is an indirect reference to the vital role of having Windows in a building!!

A Civil Engineer or an Architect can be successful in his profession if only he knows and has the experience to put up the Window in the right direction in a room. The location and direction in which the Window is put hugely impacts on the following factors in any building:

- Ventilation – The most vital factor which determines the exchange of air into a building as well as circulation of air within. And for proper ventilation, Windows without a doubt has a great impact. The quality of air entering a living space depends on how hermetic the Window is. Windows are the most obvious and simplest choice for a good ventilating system.

- Sunlight – Windows in buildings are usually designed with surface parallel and vertical along the Building walls. This vertical position of the Windows allows maximum incidence of the sunlight into the building which would help to regulate the room temperature. In locations where the summers are adverse with scorching heat, the windows are designed to be at an optimum angle to reduce the heat factor. Many of the summer houses have windows at an angle of 45º to avoid glare.

- Aesthetics – The shape and design of a Window gives an aesthetic appeal to a Building both from inside as well as outside. The dimensional outlook of any building looks more appealing with a proper provision of space at the right place in the Building walls.

- Safety –The above mentioned reasons makes Window a necessity in any building. However, the safety of a building would hugely depend on how much you are prepared to spend on the Windows or even Replacement Windows Kansas City. Any crook’s first and obvious choice would be to breach the Window space. So, stronger the window, impenetrable would your house be and hence a safe place to live in!!

Another good thing about Windows is the flexibility in the materials used to manufacture them. Windows are manufactured using one of these various material types that include wood, fiberglass, aluminum-clad wood, vinyl-clad wood, vinyl, glass blocks and other composite materials.

So, when you buy a property in the form of a building (house, office, etc.), ensure that the Window replacement has been located in the right direction and at the right position in all the rooms. Though it might sound trivial to pay attention to the Windows location, it could effectively help you to save your electricity bill (to retain the heat as well as to insulate from the cold to seep in) and also lead a healthy life by not letting the polluted air or smoke to enter your space!!
