Now, I have nothing against cheap labels. But if you are planning to print these kinds of more affordable labels, let me warn you here. Lots of things are sacrificed if you opt to cut costs in printing labels. They give those prints some features that I actually hate and for the most part leads most of them to failure.

So let me tell you all about the things I hate about cheap labels. Hopefully you should gain some insights here about how to manage your cheap labels, so that they do not turn out bad as you go about your quest for cheap label printing costs.

1. The rapid aging.

This the worst thing about cheap labels that I hate, the rapid aging. With cheap labels, you are most likely to use cheap materials. This means that when those color labels are exposed to the elements, they deteriorate quite quickly. So your labels will age a lot faster, making them look worse day after day after day.

Because of this, you will probably be forced to print more batches of labels more frequently, adding up to a higher cost overall in the long term scheme of things. So you may want to rethink a bit if you want to really go for labels that are cheap with bad and quickly aging materials.

2. The lack of targeting.

Another thing I do not like about cheap labels, is their lack of targeting for the audiences. This is because labels get more expensive if you add in the cost of research and testing for specific types of market demographics. So while you do save on testing costs for labels, eliminating that targeting concept make your labels a bit more bland and general for your target market. You will not succeed as much with your labels when this happens.

3. The bad hues.

Cheap labels also typically have bad hues and colors. This is because the quality of the ink that is used for that kind of label printing is of course a lot lower. This means that the color’s vibrancy and energy will be really reduced to very low levels, leading to a lackluster label indeed. Your labels will not get anything done effectively with these bad hues. That is why I tend to try to improve the ink quality even if it means spending a bit more. Believe me, it is better and a lot more cost efficient to do this.

4. The misaligned prints.

Sometimes, cheap labels are also printed with misaligned prints. This happens typically because the printer used in label printing is not the professional one used actual mass production. You might be dealing with a simple local printer that just prints and cuts things using more consumer type printers that are not as accurate as their professional counterparts. They might be cheap, but they will make more major mistakes. It might be a best to avoid this situation whenever possible.

5. The mediocre design elements.

Finally, I do not like cheap labels because of their mediocre design elements. Some people just use online pictures or low quality clip arts in their labels to save money, but this also removed the more distinct and unique essence of the print label itself. That is why you should consider actually creating your own design elements yourself. You will get better and more original results because of this.

So those are the things I hate about cheap labels. You better eliminate these habits or trends quickly for better color labels in business.
