Swimmers prefer Busuam with its long white sand beach and surfers enjoy some of the coast's best waves on the beaches of Dixcove.

Kumasi is the capital of the Ashanti kingdom in Ghana. This is a cosmopolitan city with a good transportation network and is regarded as the cultural cradle of the nation.

The cuisines of Ghana involve diverse traditional dishes from each ethnic group, tribe and clan. Mostly food in Ghana is made up of a starchy portion. Cooked rice is the most common food in Ghana. Some popular dishes of Ghana are; waakye (combination of rice and beans), gari (made from cassava), kokonte (crispy preparation made from dried cassava chips) and fufu (made from pounded cassava and plantain or pounded cocoyam).
