Detectives are looking for a nicely dressed man in his 60s or 70s who has been robbing Coco Cola machines in SeaTac since June, said Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The thefts have been at the DoubleTree hotel in the 18700 block of International Boulevard in SeaTac.

The robber opens the vending machines without damaging them and takes the money from the cash box, usually several hundred dollars, Urquhart said.

No one is aware of the theft until the machine is routinely opened by technicians, Urquhart said.

A photo of the robber was captured as he made off with cash from one of the machines, Urquhart said. From the photo, he is described as a man in his 60s to 70s , wearing glasses, a dress shirt, tie and overcoat.

If anyone recognizes the man, they are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 206-296-3311 or 911.
