The investigation into the death of rapper Kanye West's mother has just taken another twist. Yesterday, we pointed out that the surgeon who operated on Donda West, the famed Dr. Jan Adams, settled a series of malpractice lawsuits in recent years. But it's now starting to look like it wasn't Dr Jan's malpractice that lead to Donda West's death after all.
In another exclusive, we spoke with a person who looked at the preliminary autopsy report for Donda West. And according to that person, Dr. Adams doesn't appear to have done anything to directly cause the death of Kanye's mother.
This result of the autopsy, tells a person close to the investigation, all but rules out any obvious surgical error by Dr. Jan Adams. The insider told us, "If she would have died from a severe infection, or hemorrhaging (blood loss) that would be a tell tale sign of poor surgical procedure, but none of that was present."
The insider continued, "We can't be certain as to what caused [Donda West's] death until the toxicology screens come back from the lab. But the death does not look like it was directly caused by anything done by the surgeon ... It's hard to speculate as to what could have caused the death but, in cases like this, the anesthesia is usually the culprit."
The preliminary autopsy report will not likely be released to the public. The full autopsy report, which will be completed after the toxicology screenings are completed, is expected to be released in 4 to 6 weeks.
