Gone are the days when there was just one light in a room consuming considerable amount of electricity. Modern lighting has brightened and broadened the horizon with a variety of options. There are varieties of options under modern lighting systems like lights in the floor, table lights, cabinet and even display lights. Recessed lighting and outdoor lighting are also present along with landscape ones. These are are of course the ones that are placed in the ceiling. Technically the term “ceiling lights” can actually mean a huge array of fixes. But it is basically just one idea that it is any light that is fixed to the roof to illuminate the space below it. These can be focused to a particular place or may illuminate the entire room. The style, number and fixture depends upon the living space in a particular room and of course the requirement of the owner. The best example for the above is the chandelier. It can be placed over the drawing-room ceiling or the dinning ceiling. These considerably light up the room and also may give a royal feel. These chandeliers may be just made of 3 lights or maybe even the heavy ones like with 21 lights and 3-tier. These chandeliers itself are made up of various materials like crystal, wrought iron, etc….Other kinds are the semi-flush and the flush mount fixtures, which are installed to illuminate a broad area of space as well can be used for the outside too. Lump-island and pendant come in the same category. The pendant ones are specially a treat to the eyes as they come in an array of shapes such as round, oval, bubble, cigar, etc… and each are good enough to grab eyeballs. These have names such as “Mojave”, too. The island kinds are also known as the billiard fixes. The island ones are usually for the kitchen and the dinning. The pendant ones comes in single patterns and also in a group of fixes. Track lights are also available and can be folded or directed in any direction. The recessed lights are also available and can be focused in any direction too. Their placement depends upon the choice and area. The lights used in all these kinds are of three kinds- incandescent, fluorescent and LED (Light Emitting Diode). The first kind has the shortest life; the second one is good with no buzzing or other problems. LED is the latest kind and have a great life with minimum power consumption. LED under cabinet lighting also has shown a lot of craze recently, and these can be wireless too. Fluorescent are mostly kept in a linear shape so that they can be concealed under the rim of the cabinet easily and also in various shades of colours. Thus the ceiling lights and the under cabinet lighting are very easy to install, and with the wide range of its subtle products, it is a choice for great interior decorations for different rooms and the kitchen too.
