Three Tuscola County teens are accused of creating a listing on Craigslist.com that offered a free baby.

The teens said it was just a high school prank. TV5 has learned three students at the Tuscola Technology Center in Caro made the listing with the ‘free baby’ offer, on the online classified site, including a random picture from another Web site.

The post also said the baby was "unwanted" because it would not "stop crying."

The posting was removed shortly after it went online. A police investigation, including contact with Craigslist officials, tracked the IP address to a computer lab at the school in Caro.

The investigation is still ongoing and State police in Caro are expected to send their findings to the Tuscola County prosecutor’s office for review.

It is unclear whether any charges will be filed or if school administrators will handle disciplining the students.

The teens are part of the school’s Information Technology Management program.
