Lawyers for Charlie Sheen say they have received several phone calls offering information on the location of the actor’s $165,000 watch he has alleged was stolen by porn star Capri Anderson, with whom Sheen has been linked.
Los Angeles power attorney Marty Singer is suing Anderson on behalf of the actor, charging her with extortion. The case charges Anderson with stealing Sheen’s watch after the two spent a night together that ended with her locked inside the bathroom of a hotel room and Sheen in the hospital.
Anderson, whose real name is Christina Walsh, denies she took the watch but that’s not what Sheen’s lawyers are hearing.
“Calls are coming in to Charlie’s lawyers and the callers have information about the watch and what Capri did with it,” a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com.
“There have been multiple calls with information, according to the Web site.”
People close to the case on Sheen’s side believe Anderson stashed the watch and may be holding on to it for money, attention or some other reason.
Earlier this year, Anderson and Sheen’s estranged wife Denise Richards were reported to have had a conversation about what happened that night in the hotel room, during which Anderson told Richards she’d been working as a prostitute that night. She said she’d been promised $3500 for her night with the Two and a Half Men star, an amount she called an "appearance fee" during an interview on Good Morning America on Monday. Walsh also says she was never paid for her encounter with Sheen.
Sheen's lawyers charged that Walsh works as a prostitute after hitting hard times financially. The actor's extortion lawsuit against Walsh claims that she demanded $1 million before contacting the Aspen, Colorado District Attorney and $500,000 before taping Good Morning America.
Walsh claims Sheen choked her during the October hotel encounter, held her against her will, threw a lamp at her and was also snorting cocaine. Sheen’s suit, however, which has been filed in Los Angeles, tells another story. According to the suit, which is available online, Sheen asserts that "after a consensual encounter with Sheen in the Plaza Hotel on the evening of October 25, 2010 Walsh decided this was her chance to become rich and famous." He contends Anderson "fabricated a sensational tale about being assaulted battered and held against her will and used that fictional story as a basis for an extortion plot against Sheen, threatening that if he did not pay her at least one million dollars she would go to (i) the Aspen District Attorney with her false allegations and (ii) seek to embarrass him and attempt to damage his career by going to the media with her false tale.”
The suit may turn out to favor Sheen, however he’s had a slew of meltdowns and arrests related drugs and domestic violence charges and remains on probation. Sheen, who has admitted to using cocaine in the past and paying for hookers, spent 30 days in rehab following domestic abuse charges filed by his other ex-wife, Brooke Mueller.
