The election of the 44th American President has been path-breaking and unprecendented. America’s verdict of having Barrack Obama as its president has been a dramatic one. This selection by America’s electorate is ridden with hope. Americans have wrested hope and faith in their new President, who has made promises to fulfill the American dream of prosperity, stability, and well being.

Barrack Obama, as the new President faces a number of challenges before him. The primary and most important task to be fulfilled is to resuscitate the American economy. There have been job cuts and lay offs that have affected lakhs of American homes. America has to emerge stronger from the current financial crisis and it sure will do so under the able leadership of President Obama. His new economic reforms with special stress on energy, education and health care will help. He plans to expand job opportunities and loosen credit so investments are restarted. He sure has flagged off America’s journey to resurgence.

The President also has several global issues to deal with. Some of which are international security, combating world terrorism, dealing with unrest in the South and Central Asia region. He promises to withdraw American troops from Iraq by 2010 and augment soldiers in terror ridden Afghanistan.
