A man was taken into police custody at a Plantation home Thursday afternoon after police said he found his wife with another man and then shot him.

A Plantation police spokesman said the man returned to his home in the 9800 block of Southwest First Street and found his wife and the man.

Police said the husband is accused of fatally shooting the other man.

Neighbors heard gunshots and called 911.

A SWAT team went to the home to get the husband to come out of the house. He has been taken into custody.

Police closed Broward Boulevard in both directions between 96th Avenue and Cleary Boulevard on Thursday afternoon as a result of the situation. The roadway has since reopened.
