Phoenix Bee Exterminators Must Finish the Job

People don’t always listen to the professional Phoenix bee exterminators and many make the decision to only have a partial treatment. It is so important to always remove the honey and honeycomb from voids in your structure, when you have a bee colony set up an unwanted hive on your property.

If you watch this video, (which yes, is a little gross) you will see the Wax Moth and their larvae at work in a bee hive. If you watch closely and if you listen as well, you will see and hear flies, Wax Moths, Wax Moth Larvae, and ants.

Even though this video is taken of a Bee Keeper’s Hive, think about the hives that bees create when they infest residential and commercial structures anywhere in our Arizona Cities, such as Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Glendale, Peoria and Mesa just to mention a few. This is important because we always recommend, when customers call a Phoenix pest control company, to completely remove the bee hive as well as the bee colony, and to not simply have us destroy the bees. Obviously bee hive removal inside a wall of a structure will require some effort, much more than simply destroying the colony inside the void. And of course, with more effort comes additional cost. Ah finally, we have met the real objection. Nobody wants to spend more money, have holes cut in the walls to get to the honeycomb, or pay to have repairs made. Heck nobody wants to pay to seal the homes for prevention to stop the bees from infesting in the first place!

But now – we have a real issue! To pay or not to pay, that is the question? But the answer is either, pay now or pay more later. You will end up paying or just hope the problem will go away – which it will not.

At this point, a customer usually says, “Just destroy (kill) the bees”, or “I Don’t want to damage my house, just take care of the Bees today” The Phoenix bee exterminator says “Are you sure? You know that the honey is going to melt when the bees are gone and it could be messy. Plus leaving the honey and honey comb in the walls could attract other pests such as Ants, Wax Moths, Cockroaches, Beetles, you name it. Are you sure you don’t want us to finish the bee job?”

Hopefully after you have seen this video and these pictures you will consider a complete strategy of pest management when it comes to bee control, thinking not only of today, but also planning for the future to control the costs of other pests that will be attracted if the job is not done right the first time. In the long run, careful decisions today even if a bit more costly, could save you from paying more in the future.

You know the old saying, “An Ounce of Prevention is worth a Pound of Cure” or in this case, pounds of honey and honeycomb!
