Campaigns are held to display and publicize new products in the hall. But before you proceed into trade show marketing you should learn how to effectively make use of the given opportunity. There are various tactics by which you can skillfully create a good impression in the minds of consumer. This is certainly a golden opportunity for marketers and manufacturers since they can meet their target audience personally and convince them about the features of the new product. Here are some factors to consider when you are making use of this opportunity:

Target the audience for the product first. You should have a clear idea about the nature of consumers with whom you will be conducting marketing in the show. Each product has one group of definite consumers. For instance fashion jewelry is liked by modern urban women and in particular adolescent age women. You cannot expect an old lady to wear them. Similarly any kind of new software program is much appreciated among the people of business class and that too from IT sector. So it is necessary that you should have some idea about the audience before you go into marketing. Use catchy words and appealing terms which are impressive while displaying the product. The success of marketing to large extent depends on how you are able to convince the consumer by your words.

Once you plan the date and venue of the show, you can send emails or print out invitations to your regular customers. You can consider distributing pamphlets or notice slips in market places, which are inexpensive marketing ideas. Mention about your product and use catchy phrases and photos in the pamphlets. In case you have a database for your regular customers you can send them message to their mailing address. Create maximum publicity for the date, venue and timing of the campaign. You can also advertise it in newspapers and place an ad in FM radio channels which is easily reached by lots of people. Alternatively you can place advertisements in leading websites and search engines which are browsed by millions of people daily. You should start advertising at least 3 weeks before the actual date of show so that you would grab the attention of the target audience.
Finally on the trade show marketing day, you have to be prepared for meeting the audience in person. Arrange for adequate supporting staff and train them about the methods of marketing in a large crowd.
