First of all let’s see some of the wonderful tourist attractions spotted in Shimla. Shimla, else known as Queen of Hill Stations or summer capital of India is now the capital of Himachal Pradesh. It says that summer season is the best time for a visit to Shimla.

Charming hill station with sky kissing Himalayas add glitters to the beauty of Shimla. Mall road is one among the major tourist attractions located in Shimla. Mall road is a crowded street in Shimla constructed during British colonial rule below the ridge. It is equipped with a rich composition of restaurants, cafes and shops. Gaiety theatre located on Mall is a favourite destination for artists. Programs of many celebrities were conducted from this historic theatre. Now, theatre is transformed into a great social club encouraging talented people. Meeting point of the ridge and the mall is known as Scandal point. Great statue of Lala Lajpat Rai located at Scandal point clearly depicts the glorious history of independent India.

Kali Bari temple located in Mall road is another famous tourist attraction in Shimla. This temple dedicated to Kali goddess was believed to be constructed in the year 1845. Special offerings and celebrations conducted in Kali Bari temple especially on pooja holidays shower thousands of Hindu pilgrims to this divine temple. Prospect hill in Shimla located at an elevation of 2155m from sea level is yet another hot tourist attractive centre in Shimla. It is an ideal destination for mountaineering and one can enjoy the alluring beauty of the whole city from its peak point. Viceroy Lodge, Gortole Castle and Jakhoo Temple are other best known tourist attractions in Shimla.

Now we will come to Kullu, a beautiful hill station cum valley located on the banks of river Beas. Kullu is blessed with many temples including Vaishno Devi temple, Raghunath Ji temple and Bijli Mahadeo temple. Vaishno Devi temple, located nearly 3 km from Kullu is believed to be constructed during 1964 AD. The area is blessed with the presence of Durga devi idol worshipped inside the divine cave in Vaishno Devi temple. Story about the origination of Raghunath Ji temple located in Kullu is associated with Ramayana epic. Raghunath Ji temple typically demonstrates a combination of pyramidal and pahari architecture style of construction.

Bhijli Mahadeo temple built in khash style located at 2435 mtrs on Mathan hill is another tourist spot in Kullu. Pulling chariot carrying idol for blessings and fulfilling wishes is one among the interesting activities performed here. Bishweshwer temple, Addi Brahma temple and Dhungri temple are some other main tourist attractions seen in Kullu.

Manali hill station located to the north of Kullu valley is another centre catching tourist interest. Rohtang Pass located between Chenab and Beas river basins in Manali is opened for tourists from May to November. This beautiful and adventurous mountain pass makes an interconnection between Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti valley. Solang valley, Naggar Fort, Rahala waterfalls and Hadimba Devi temple are other best known tourist attractions in Manali.
