Looking to travel as an English teacher? Asia always has an extremely high demand for English teachers and this is also true in Taiwan. English teachers are always in demand in most areas of Taiwan and traveling through Taiwan as an English teacher isn't that hard to do. Teaching English makes traveling easy as the contracts and actual work hours are usually very light and easy. Picking the best jobs in advance that suit your travel needs can make traveling and teaching English a reality. Most English teachers in Taiwan work four hours a day and many also work on Saturdays. While Saturday work may not be your idea of fun, there are many jobs that don't require Saturday work. With just four hours of classes each day you'll have more than enough free time on your hand to enjoy Taiwan and anything else you want to spend your time doing. Taiwan has some extremely beautiful national parks and mountains along with hot springs and beautiful forests. There is more than enough to do to fill in your spare time. The average contract length for an English teacher is one year. This might sound like a long time but it actually passes very quickly. By the time you get used to your teaching material, are familiar with the names of all your students and are getting to know your way around town better, you'll probably already be approaching the end of your contract. If you plan on staying another year, maybe to spend some more time exploring Taiwan, you'll probably even receive a little healthy resigning bonus. Traveling as an English teacher is very common and you'll meet many other teachers in Taiwan who are traveling their way through Taiwan and Asia. Short work days, easy classes and plenty of time to do what you want makes it a very suitable job to do while you are traveling.
