A toddler in Colorado Springs may have only half a heart, but he isn't letting that slow him down.
One-year-old Sebastian plays like most kids, even though the left side of his heart is missing. Sebastian has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
Sebastian has had two open heart surgeries already in his young life. His mother, Lisa Crane, told 7NEWS that Sebastian will have at least one more surgery.
Crane is concerned about the future, she said, "There aren't many adults that have this. The oldest we've found is in her late 20s."
Sebastian had his heart surgeries in Philadelphia and Crane met other families there with children with heart defects. But she would like to meet parents in Colorado raising children with heart defects. To get involved in her support group, visit her Yahoo Web site or call Lisa Crane at (719) 232-5730.
