An alligator bit off part of a man's hand at a park in Palm Beach County.

Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue workers said the attack happened Tuesday at 1 p.m. near John Prince Memorial Park. He was flown by helicopter to a trauma center for treatment. The man's injuries are not life-threatening.

Authorities are searching for the alligator.
