Police said a man stabbed his stepdaughter Tuesday during a fight in their Council Bluffs home.

She called police and the man took off running. He then stabbed himself in the stomach, police said.

The two were taken to the hospital.

Police haven't said where the girl was stabbed or what prompted the fight.
