Let us test your booklets before they are published. This is only prudent as your investment for printing color booklets should be significant. So, to make things a little bit faster, I have listed down for you five of the most important questions that you should ask to test your booklets and see if they are fit for publishing and of course the general audience. Just go through each question and answer them one by one.

1. Are you using the right booklet size and template?

Booklets do not just come in one form. In fact there are numerous booklet templates out there of different sizes and configurations. That is why you should be doubly sure that you are using the correct kind of booklet template in your own color booklets. Will the configuration you are using be easy enough for your audiences to carry? Can those booklets be easily deployed through your chosen channels?

These are important questions to answer as they will directly affect the proper choice of booklet template. The more appropriate the template you choose, the more effective your booklets will be at their goals. So make sure you check and choose if you have chosen the right one.

2. Is the cover-content correct for your goal?

Next, try to check if the cover of your booklet has the correct content that will enable you to achieve your goal. Does it have the right promotional design for a marketing booklet? Or maybe it should have a more formal design for a reference booklet? The content and the actual goal of the color booklet should be clear enough in its cover. That is why you should always check and see if the cover actually helps you get to your goals or not.

3. Is your booklet content organized for a logical conclusion?

You should also review your booklet content. It must be well organized so that people can follow it from start to finish towards a logical conclusion. While it should be divided into sections, the flow should still be there. This is the correct format for any kind of booklet and if your own custom booklets do not follow this, you should try to redo it before mass producing them. Believe me, if you have no organization that booklet will not look good to people.

4. Did you choose the right materials for your booklet?

Of course, before you give the green signal for booklet printing, you should also try to review the materials for your production. The paper and ink materials should be chosen carefully for each of your color booklets. You must know exactly the best materials that will be useful for your plans for booklet deployment.
If you think your booklets will be distributed to a strenuous environment, then maybe you should go for those more durable kinds of materials for booklet printing. The more adapted your materials, the more appropriate they should be for mass production.

5. Did you check your booklet content several times?

Finally before the final go ahead for printing your booklets, make sure you checked and see if your booklets have the correct content with regards to spelling and grammar. You CANNOT print a color booklet with gross errors in those sections as this will severely hamper your efforts in developing and marketing through those prints. So make sure that you do your proofreading and checks three times or more to be sure about them before they are actually printed.

With those questions, you should then be able test your own color booklets and see what other points you need improving. So remember the items above and learn again from them once you print your own booklets.
