I never thought I would write on this sensitive subject of how many of us have been taken advantage by the nagging medical aid conditions of employment. I know for a fact that many employers, particularly corporate and big ones, make it compulsory for employees to have a medical cover. It’s most often at some contribution from the employee, which many wouldn’t go for given an option.

My experience made me go an extra mile to take a risk on my family by reducing the benefit bracket because I didn’t believe it was worth paying for it, thank God my employer allows for changes within the offered benefit packages but not moving out of the scheme. After the test was over, that is in a full year, I realized that we lose a lot of money to these medical aid guys and they never give care if you lose or anything. I have seen so many medical companies, not only in South Africa, but even here at home (Swaziland) that wouldn’t advice, for example, single man not to take a maternity cover. They would always put it in a package so that no one can single it out. This is one example of a total rip off to those that may not specific medical attention.

I have taken my example for a lesson to all that may want to try my model and save big money on medical aid. I decided to give my lesson the topic ‘Copy My R 12, 000 (US $ 1, 500) Savings on Medical Aid Monthly Subscription – Part 1’ and will go on and write part two in the same blog “yeboyesafrica.com’. Just this part one will open your eyes to several things that are a common oversight when choosing a medical cover. This is not to discredit my own medical aid service provider, but to help people make informed decisions that they won’t get to hate the service provider but make the most from it.
