Basically deer hunts are survival hunts or sports hunts. Originated over a thousand years ago, it is steel very popular among the hunters in different countries though the style of hunting also varies with geographical variations. Hunting in North America is not exactly what it is in South Africa, or New Zealand. However, at the end of it a few factors are still common as is the requirement of safe hunting lodges for camping.

Hunting Preparation

Multiple types of deer are there across the globe.

• Usually the hunters check the prospective areas of hunting months before the hunting season commences.

• Most of the hunters will have video cameras to take live photographs of the areas they scout.

• Very often the hunters camp in some hunting lodges near the target area so as to find out the exact locations where deer can be found out and the strategic points from where they can indulge in the hunting.

• As baits, food pots are planted near the spots of hunting so that the area is spread with corns or oats which will lure the target to the hunting zone.

• Normally, such places are near water as food and water are two basic necessities for every type of deer.

Using Trail Camera

Many seasoned hunters precede their next years hunting project with the use of trail cameras. Such trail cameras are used to find out bucks that will become prize trophy in the next year or two and the hunter would be chasing it. As such preparation requires staying for longer duration in a particular place, often covering a few days, requirements for quality and affordable hunting lodges are growing consistently. It may take some time before the hunter finds out the one he or she likes to have as the target.

Most Sought in America

In North America, the most sought after deer hunts include the hunting of Whitehall Deer that is popular hunt for both professionals and amateurs alike. There are over 30 subspecies of this clan of deer and their numerical strength is around 25 million in the continent.

It is no wonder that over 11 million hunters look out for Whitehall Deer hunt each fall.
