Remind yourself that the task is not an impossible one to handle. You are an intelligent person and capable enough to accomplish the work with only a little, meaningful effort. After all, thousands of students win their degrees each year after writing their dissertations successfully. Suggest yourself with determination that you can do the job within the deadline. Yes, you can do it gracefully.

2. Selection of a dissertation topic.
Next in line is selection of a topic for dissertation. You should select a topic which is of interest to you. If you choose a topic which doesn’t interest you, you might then just get passing grades—but that is not our aim. Our aim is to get high grades with commendation from your supervisor/professor. With that aim in mind, you should search for a topic which generates interest in you. It should be such that you will feel inclined to write pages and pages about the same. Of course, such topic should also be got approved by your supervisor. Once approved, you should ponder over it thoughtfully. You may read relevant books, periodicals, journals, magazines, articles and previous research work on the subject, if any. You should be able to convince yourself that further research on the subject is feasible.

3. Work Plan.
You should make a rough sketch for your dissertation paper—similar to what an architect makes before starting the construction of a building/project. With that rough sketch before you, you will be able to determine the number of sources which you will probe into or conduct in-depth research into for the dissertation. Views of the famous authorities on the subject should be referred to and their quotations, if any, be cited with proper citations at relevant places. Please make a note that without giving proper references and citations, your paper may not get the appreciation it rightly deserves. It might even be considered as ‘plagiarized’. So, please be careful.

4. Formatting & Editing.
After you have conducted thorough research on the subject and collected significant material for your dissertation, you may complete the paper with Introduction, Relevant Chapters incorporating the views & findings of different authors, Latest research on the subject, if any, and finally, your own Conclusion and suggestion(s), if any. You may then adopt the format for your paper in consultation with your supervisor. Last but not the least, you may edit the paper after meticulously going through the paper once or twice.
