A Hartford woman is facing assault charges after police said she stabbed her boyfriend in the back with a pair of scissors.

Police said Latoya Smith, 29, is charged with second-degree assault after the Sunday incident.

Police didn't identify the victim, but said he was treated for a small puncture wound on his back.
