Decades ago, when people found comfort in bubbling and hot mineral springs, the benefits of water were invented and recognized from therapeutic point of view. The ancient Greeks were the first one to get hang of the water therapy and thereby understanding properties and benefits of the same.

The great Greek physician Hippocrates was the one who highly suggested the usage of water therapy to cure and get relief of medical conditions such as rheumatism and jaundice. Nowadays, the same practice or tradition is given a name called “Hydrotherapy” which has been derived from Greek's words. Two Greek words which comprises to “Hydrotherapy” are ‘Hydro’ meaning water and ‘Therapies’ meaning therapy.

The human body's weight in water is only about one-tenth of its weight. Thus, ligaments & muscles relaxes as they are not supporting your normal or actual weight. Buoyancy, heat and massage are the three basic elements which makes the Hydrotherapy works. The touch receptors on the skin are stimulated by the motion of the water which is the effect of the heat and massaging which ultimately boosts the circulation of the blood. This increases the nutrients and oxygen to aching muscles which are tired and promotes general well being.

Not to mention, the water's effect which is for relaxation, when the body is intoxicated which causes joint pain and inflammation which shows symptoms of back pain and arthritis accompanied by stress, troubled sleep and anxiety, Hydrotherapy is widely used in such situations and circumstances. The whole family can definitely enjoy the healing effects of water which is one of the safest, oldest and of course the most cost effective treatment.

Maintaining a consistent temperature of around 38-39 degrees of water, spas and hot tubs have been successful in recreating the ancient hot springs effect. The swirling bubbling effects which come out from different jets and blown air are proved to be highly beneficial. Spas and hot tubs are available in the market with a wide range of preferences to choose from like color, size, and material. It can definitely meet up your taste and pocket size ultimately matching up with your existing environment.

Spas and hot tubs usually have seats which are kind of reclining loungers. Your various different muscles on and around your back, shoulders and neck are aimed by the jets which are situated when you are sitting on the upright seat. Thus, it allows you to get the best possible therapy even though you want to move around. Some are also available with extra features if suitable to your pocket size. Listening to music while relaxing is altogether a different feeling which can only be felt and cannot be expressed.
