Unarguably, there are two main and distinctive sorts of domestic showers. The first is the stall shower and the tub and the second is the shower combo.

As its name suggests, the former is a shower stall. Shower screens enclose shower stalls for privacy and to prevent water to spray or splash outside the enclosure. 6) A steam shower is similar to a shower enclosure but with a host of remote gadgets within a self-enclosed unit. It offers aromatherapy and hydrotherapy treatments.

7) A Vichy shower is not actually a shower. It is a shallow bed (with drainage) where a spa shopper lies while large amounts of hot water are poured over him.

8) Roman shower is a misnomer. It does not mean you have to be a Roman to enjoy them and it doesn't describe a Roman bath. They're shower stalls without the advantage of a shower screens. Some hostels feature this kind for easy access by handicapped guests. Thus the nickname "roll-in shower".

9) An emergency shower is one provided typically by labs as a counteractive or remedial measure in cases of random burns, explosions or contamination. Located proximal to its potential users, it is meant to repetitively run in a torrent for no less than fifteen minutes gushing from between 30-60 gallons of water per minute.
