A small business or a start-up venture cannot afford be behind competition. So if you are a small business owner and don’t have a website yet, get one soon. In the age of Google, searching for the nearest shop or utility available is becoming the norm. For example, if you own a beauty parlor in East Delhi and someone needs a beautician for a wedding in East Delhi and does an online search for the nearest parlor, you will be left out if you don’t have any web presence. Other competitors who are online will snatch the business opportunity away.

Electronic Commerce, also called E-Commerce means creating business opportunities through the Internet. It is the best medium to reach a large number of customers. Nowadays, internet is one of the biggest shopping portals. It is cost effective, fast and time saving. Ecommerce solutions are crucial key of boosting business online. With the rapid growth of online businesses, the number of web development companies providing various services has increased too. Ecommerce solutions include the creation of a website, user account creation, shopping cart status, product catalog based on categories and manufactures, product search facility, product reviews and ratings, customer database and inventory tracking.

Business is all about managing business relationships with the customer. Customers shape the future potential f any business. Keeping the customer happy is one of the benchmarks of a successful business, even more so in the case of small businesses as they have a limited customer base and bad word-of-mouth can permanently damage it. Customer satisfaction has a basic premise to it: understanding customer’s concerns, quick solutions to problems and devising a way to serve them better in the future. When it comes to these tasks, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is the mantra.

CRM is a term for methodologies, software, and usually Internet capabilities that help an enterprise manage customer relationships in an organized way. For example, an enterprise may build a database about its customers that describes relationships in detail so that management, salespeople, people providing service, and maybe the customer himself could directly access information. Effective CRM application involves customizing the CRM software to match your own business type, whether it is B2B or B2C, and making sure that the customer care executives understand the basic technicalities of the software. A lot of small business software is also available to meet different ends such as bookkeeping, making workflow smoother, track orders and inventory, accounting and auditing. These simplify things to a great extent for people who are just starting up.
